As Managing Principal of LIVE Design Group, Craig Krawczyk leads the firm’s vision, culture, and design philosophy, helping organizations across the country create meaningful spaces that serve people and strengthen communities. Since joining LIVE Design Group, Craig has been instrumental in shaping the firm’s collaborative, client-led approach to architecture—developing the immersive LIVE Design Process that brings clients, designers, consultants, and builders together from the very beginning to create projects with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Craig’s passion lies in helping clients discover what’s possible. Rather than simply designing buildings, he believes architecture should tell a story, reflect an organization’s unique DNA, and create memorable experiences that connect people. Under his leadership, LIVE Design Group has become recognized for its expertise in worship facilities, theatres, community spaces, and other mission-driven environments where architecture has the power to transform lives.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Craig’s career has taken him from Atlanta to New York City before ultimately making Birmingham home. His experience spans historic renovations, adaptive reuse, multifamily residential, and large-scale community projects, providing a diverse foundation that continues to influence his design thinking today. Throughout his career, he has remained passionate about advancing architectural technology and innovation, pioneering the firm’s use of immersive 3D visualization and Building Information Modeling (BIM) to create a more collaborative and transparent design experience.

Craig often says architecture chose him, not the other way around. What began as a childhood fascination with stadiums and ballparks evolved into a lifelong passion for designing places where people gather, celebrate, worship, learn, and perform. Today, his greatest fulfillment comes from helping clients transform vision into reality through meaningful relationships and a design process that puts people first.

Outside the office, Craig enjoys spending time with his wife and their three daughters. A lifelong music enthusiast with an extensive record collection, he also enjoys learning the piano, continually proving that there’s always something new to discover through creativity.
