LIVE Design Group recently celebrated the grand opening of Terrific New Theatre’s newly designed space, marking the culmination of a long-term partnership between LIVE and Terrific New Theatre to create a state-of-the-art yet historically respectful venue that combines form, function, and a touch of theatrical magic.
The journey to bring this new space to life began with a collaborative exploration of potential properties. Together, we identified a historic building, once home to an antiques and estate jewelry vendor, as the ideal location for this intimate 100-seat theatre. Working within the client’s budget, our team set out to craft a design that honors the building’s unique history while meeting the functional and aesthetic needs of a modern theatre.
Celebrating the Past While Embracing the Future
The design integrates the building’s historic character, incorporating existing architectural elements into the aesthetic. One notable feature is a chandelier, donated by a local church, which now hangs as a centerpiece in the theatre’s elegant lobby. This thoughtful design decision reflects Terrific New Theatre’s ethos of community connection and sustainability.

A striking new entryway and marquee, welcoming audiences and creating a bold first impression.
A patron lobby, complete with a donor bar, fostering community interaction and engagement.
Enhanced backstage amenities, including dressing rooms, a set design studio, and storage, enabling seamless production capabilities.
