Historically, NFL Super Bowl halftime shows feature visual effects that wow the audience and create an electrifying performance that we just can’t stop talking about. Halftime show have featured multiple 3D scenes, and explosive firework finales, all created through projection mapping. 3D projection mapping is a relatively new technology in entertainment and is also known as “video mapping” or “spatial augmented reality”. Spatial augmented reality takes virtual reality beyond traditional eye-worn displays, allowing artificial information about the environment and its objects to be overlaid on the real world, making it interactive and manipulable. The halftime show’s 3D projection mapping technology, audio-visual, and performing arts are woven together into one spectacular show.
In today’s world, audio visual and lighting technology is widely used in a variety of fields including contemporary church. These visual effects and technologies are used to communicate the passion of the church and create an environment that inspires and invigorates the congregation. The use of environmental LED lighting gives incredible flexibility to a worship facilities’ aesthetic, allowing the space to easily be morphed for various moods and events.
