LIVE Design Group partnered with Terrific New Theatre to transform a historic downtown Birmingham building into an intimate, modern 100-seat performance venue. The renovation balances the building’s existing character with the functional needs of a contemporary theatre, creating an environment designed around both the patron and performer experience.

A new entry and marquee establish a welcoming presence, while the lobby and donor bar encourage connection before and after performances. Enhanced dressing rooms, set design space, and backstage storage support the theatre’s production needs.

Through LIVE’s collaborative design process, the project brings together historic character, modern functionality, and Terrific New Theatre’s unique identity—creating a vibrant home for creativity, community, and storytelling.
