Architect + Owner + Contractor Approach

We have found that every church’s dream always exceeds the funding.  Maintaining the appropriate balance between the dream and the reality of the budget is as important as reflecting who the church is in the design of the building. We encourage working within a church-architect-contractor team approach, as creating the right image and requirements depends on the ability of the church and contractor to work together.

Our projects typically have a contractor that also utilizes BIM technology and this facilitates the design-pricing process which is checked throughout the various phases of the design development.  At each phase, the budget is check by the contractor and, if required, the design is modified to equate with the previously established budget.

An architect-designed project is one in which the client engages an architect to design their project and provide thorough technical drawings for permit and bidding. The architect is also heavily involved in the observation of construction to completion.

Some churches prefer to engage an architect under a separate contract from the contractor allowing for third-party quality control. This approach also protects the church, ensuring the design meets the church’s needs. LIVE Design Group has a strong history of working with contractors across the nation and is open to all forms of project delivery - design-build, design-bid build, construction management at risk. Our process is extremely collaborative - we find success having the entire team together, in the same room, from project start to finish.
